Why Film?

In today's age of technology with the proliferation of

both consumer and professional digital cameras,

we are often asked why we choose to use film.

The answer is:

Because we want to provide our customers with

the highest quality photographs they can buy!

The simple truth is that digital images do not measure

up in quality to photographs produced from film.

Photographs produced from film are more natural looking,

contain more subtleties of tone and color, and are more

pleasing to the eye than photographs produced by

even the most sophisticated digital cameras.

You can see an example of this by noticing the difference

between movies and television programs made on film

and those made on video.

While the difference is not so obvious between digital

and film photographs, it is still quite noticeable

when making a side-by-side comparison.

We are well aware that some professional photographers

have switched to digital.

And we also know that their main reason for doing so

is for their own convenience and not for the quality

of the photographs they provide their customers.

We will not make that compromise.

We are not here for our convenience.
